Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is seeking a Maintenance Technician for their Waco, TX plant. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and performing maintenance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance and a technical degree is a plus. The position includes an excellent benefits package and a structured training program for skill development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' experience in industrial machinery maintenance required.
• Willingness to work in shifts including occasional weekends.
• Authorization to work in the US is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance tasks including diagnosing and repairing plant equipment.
• Work as part of a team for preventive maintenance activities.
• Answer breakdown calls in a production environment.

Responsibilities

This position is based at the PCA Corrugated Plant located in Waco, Tx.

This position will perform a variety of maintenance tasks including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.

Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform preventive maintenance activities as well as answer breakdown calls in a production environment.

All Maintenance Technician positions are multicraft and training is provided to develop these skills.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• A Technical Degree in the Mechanical or Electrical Trades is a plus.
• Be authorized to work in the US.
• Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.
• The production schedule is 3 shifts; technicians are placed on shifts according to plant needs and seniority. Opportunities to change shifts are available when organization changes or production schedules change. This also includes occasional weekends.
