Job summary

Packaging Corporation of America is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Denver, CO for a multifaceted role ensuring uptime of plant equipment. The technician will diagnose, repair and rebuild mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, working in a team to perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns in a fast-paced production setting.

Candidates should have at least 2 years of industrial machinery experience, with a technical degree considered a plus.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• Technical degree in mechanical or electrical trades is a plus.
• Production schedule is 3 shifts; shifts assigned by plant needs and seniority; opportunities to change shifts exist.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• Experience in corrugated packaging or printing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Based at the PCA Box Plant in Denver, CO.
• Diagnose, repair, rebuild or replace mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
• Work as part of a team to safely perform preventive maintenance and respond to breakdowns in a production environment.
• All maintenance positions are multicraft and training is provided.

• Pay Range = $29.99-$40.79 based on mechanical and electrical skills and experience.

Responsibilities

• This position is based at the PCA Box Plant located in Denver, CO.
• This position will perform a variety of maintenance tasks including diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and Pneumatic systems on plant equipment.
• Technicians work as part of a team to safely perform Preventive Maintenance Activities as well as answer break down calls in a Production Environment.
• All Maintenance Technician positions are multicraft and training is provided to develop these skills.

Basic Qualifications

• 2+ Years’ experience in successfully troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery.
• A Technical Degree in the Mechanical or Electrical Trades is a plus.
• The production schedule is 3 shifts. Maintenance Technicians are placed on shifts according to plant needs and seniority. Opportunities to change shifts are available when organization changes occur or production schedules change.
• Be Authorized to work in the US.
• Experience in the Corrugated Packaging or Printing Industry is a plus.
