Job summary

Winbro Group Technologies, a leader in advanced machine systems, seeks a Maintenance, Build & Service Engineer for the 3rd shift in Rock Hill, SC. You will troubleshoot, install, commission, and service Winbro equipment including EDM, ECM, and laser tools, working from schematic drawings and with customers.

Responsibilities include field service at Rock Hill and customer sites, preventive and reactive maintenance, wiring and commissioning, and providing technical support and training while

Qualifications

  • High school or GED required; vocational/technical training recommended.
  • Must have basic software skills and be proficient in Word, Excel, PPT & Outlook.
  • 3–5 years of field service experience is recommended.
  • Knowledge of PC-based CNC equipment and drive systems for complex 5-axis tools.
  • Strong electrical/electronic and mechanical maintenance skills.
  • PC-based control systems, testing equipment, and blueprints reading are important.
  • Reading layouts with blueprints for installation onsite is required.
  • Ability to direct contractors during installations; PLC troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with high voltage/high ampere machines is a plus.
  • Excellent customer service and communication; team-oriented; valid driver's license.
  • U.S. citizenship or Green Card holder is required for access.

Responsibilities

  • New OEM build, installation, and service of Winbro equipment at Rock Hill site and customer locations.
  • Maintain, service, and commission EDM, ECM, and Laser machine tools and associated systems.
  • Provide technical customer support during installation and commissioning.
  • Wiring, power up and commissioning of machines using schematic drawings in the US.
  • Diagnose faults and rectify discrepancies; perform preventive and reactive maintenance.
  • Prepare maintenance records and periodic reports for management.

3rd Shift 10:45 pm - 7:15 am - pays shift differential

The Maintenance, Build & Service Engineer will work with our customers (External and Internal) to ensure our products and systems provide maximum performance, improving productivity, reliability, and safety. Working independently to troubleshoot and provide solutions to machine breakdowns, installation, commissioning, and on-going maintenance of Winbro equipment including machines, water plants, tooling, machine rebuilds and technology upgrades.

  • New OEM Build, Installation, & Service of Winbro equipment within our Rock Hill manufacturing facility and customer sites will be required
  • Maintain, service, and commission EDM, ECM, and Laser machine tools utilizing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and high-pressure water systems troubleshooting skills
  • Provide technical customer support during the installation, commissioning, and servicing of Winbro manufactured machinery along with associated support equipment
  • The wiring, power up and commissioning of our range of machines in the US working directly to schematic drawings
  • Diagnosis of fault conditions and rectification of minor discrepancies
  • Set-up, inspection and test of electrical and mechanical systems in a safe and controlled manner
  • Responsible for the prompt identification and resolution of machine issues and breakdowns
  • Installation and commissioning of Technical upgrade packages from mechanical, pneumatic and electrical drawings, along with Software & Firmware updates of required components
  • Executing on Preventative and Reactive maintenance at customer sites along with timely response to service requests
  • Provide technical support and service training both internally and externally while maintaining professional and technical knowledge
  • Accurate completion of written and PC based maintenance records
  • Provide periodic reports to management including customer complaints, trends, and suggestions for improvement
Requirements
  • High school or GED required, Vocational or Technical training recommended
  • Must possess basic software skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT, & Outlook)
  • 3-5 years of field service experience recommended
  • Detailed working knowledge of PC based CNC equipment and drive systems as applied to complex 5 axis CNC machine tools
  • Excellent all-round skills in Electrical/Electronic and Mechanical maintenance disciplines
  • Working knowledge of PCs, general testing equipment & PC based control systems
  • Understanding of non-conventional machine tools and experience with part programming and process development as applied to non-conventional machining equipment is preferred
  • Able to read systems/machine layout with blueprints for installation onsite
  • Ability to direct contractor(s) during systems/machine installations
  • Perform intermediate PLC troubleshooting (ex: program editing and network connections)
  • Experience of high voltage or high ampere machine tools will be of interest
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills required
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Must possess a valid drivers' license
  • Due to customer facility access requirements, must be a US Citizen or existing Green Card Holder
