Job summary

Bachoco USA in Muldrow, OK is seeking a Maintenance Automation Technician to preserve, repair and maintain computer-controlled systems, robotics, PLCs and related equipment to maximize production efficiency.

You will diagnose, service and monitor automated systems, coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance, and support projects with external contractors to improve facilities and processes while upholding food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Requires more than 1 year experience in the plant or similar setting.
• Requires 3 years’ experience in Industrial Electricity and 3 years combined instrumentation experience.
• 2 years of electrical/electronic training or apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Check daily parameters of critical control points (temperature, weight, amperage, pressure).
• Coordinate preventive maintenance of electrical, electronic and control equipment.
• Supervise electrical, electronic and control projects by external personnel (contractors).
• Own power distribution knowledge and drive MCC and transformer PMs.
• Install, maintain and replace automation systems at key production points.
• Troubleshoot servos, sensors and control components.

Bachoco USA is seeking a Maintenance Automation Technician for our Muldrow, OK location.

Work Schedule: Thursday - Monday (6:00 AM - 3:00 PM)

Summary:

Preserve, repair and maintain the computer-controlled systems and robotic devices to maximize efficiency. Performs routine diagnostic checks on automated systems, monitor automated systems, isolate problems and perform repairs. Performs service to control systems ranging from electromechanical devices and systems to high-speed robotics and programmable logic controllers(PLCs). These types of systems include robotic assembly devices, conveyors, batch mixers, electrical distribution systems, and building automation systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

• Check daily the parameters of the critical control points: temperature, weight, amperage and pressure, in order to correct deviations in time and form.
• Execute and coordinate preventive maintenance of electrical, electronic and control equipment, to guarantee the availability and operation of the equipment.
• Coordinate and supervise the implementation of electrical, electronic and control projects carried out by external personnel (contractors), in order to improve facilities and processes. Be the technical resource for Engineering for new projects involving setup, calibration, new technology, and sanitary design.
• Coordinate and execute the corrective maintenance of electrical, electronic and control equipment, in order to reduce wasted time.
• Coordinate and supervise the performance of preventive and corrective maintenance to substations, in order to reduce lost time.
• Comply with all electrical panel organization and cleaning to a personnel and food safety required standard. To comply with requirements established by the Food Quality and Safety System.
• Own and understand our power distribution and drive timely execution of MCC and transformer PMs.
• Manage all panel documentation, including breaker labeling and machine schematics at the equipment.
• Install, maintain, and replace automation systems at key points in the production process.
• Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.
• Log equipment usage, parts replacement, and scheduled maintenance to ensure maximum functionality.
• Periodically report to leadership regarding automation capabilities and status.
• This is a safety sensitive position.

Education and/or Experience:

• Requires more than 1 year experience on this job or related jobs in the plant or elsewhere.
• Requires 3 years ‘experience in Industrial Electricity as well as 3 years combined experience with instrumentation and programmable controllers, and 2 years of electrical/electronic training or apprenticeship.
