Silver King Beverage Co. seeks a Maintenance Automation Technician for a can filling manufacturing facility to maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automated systems.
You will work with maintenance, production, and engineering to minimize downtime and maximize output. Responsibilities include PLC/HMI programming, updating electrical drawings, and developing improvements to enhance capacity, efficiency and quality while ensuring food safety and compliance.
The Maintenance Automation Technician in a can filling manufacturing facility is a critical role responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of automated machinery used in the production and packaging of canned products. This position involves maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing the automation systems to minimize downtime and maximize production output. Works closely with the maintenance team, production personnel, and engineering staff to ensure the facility's automation systems are operating at peak performance.
Responsible and required to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues; and empowered to act to resolve food safety issues within their scope of work. Possesses all basic and some advanced skills and knowledge. Has a thorough understanding of automated manufacturing equipment, manufacturing processes and programmable logic controllers.
Must have basic knowledge of a variety of computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, AutoCAD, as well as programing software such as Studio 5000, Factory Talk View, or similar
One year certificate from college or technical school; or 1 year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proven experience as a Maintenance Automation Technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the beverage industry. Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and robotic systems.
