Job summary

PAI Pharma is seeking a Maintenance Automation Technician to maintain production equipment, including setup, changeover, preventive maintenance, and major electrical and automation breakdowns. You will support development of new processes and ensure equipment runs safely and efficiently.

The role requires strong PLC skills, ability to read electrical schematics, and hands-on troubleshooting across mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.

Qualifications

• Must read electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic.
• Strong troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and automation systems.
• Ability to mentor junior technicians.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an automation safety advocate for all surrounding colleagues.
• Advanced ability to read and understand electrical schematics and PLC ladder logic.
• Ability to troubleshoot major mechanical, electrical, and automation issues.
• Can safely troubleshoot electronic circuits and panels to include all 24VDC controls components.
• Can log in, navigate, modify, save, and recover PLC ladder logic.
• Ability to troubleshoot machines using PLC software.
• Can instruct and teach other technicians basic controls knowledge.

JOB SUMMARY:

TheMaintenance Automation Technician(MAT)performs all duties necessary, under the general direction of the Maintenance Team Leader (MTL) to maintain the assigned manufacturing production equipment to include set up, changeover, preventive maintenance, major mechanical, electrical, and automation breakdown maintenance, and assist in the development of new products and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIITIES:

The MAT receives minimal supervision and guidance from the MTL. Demonstrates leadership qualities and can initiate and execute major projects. They are a mentor to all junior technicians.
