Job summary

HART in Tampa, FL is seeking a Maintenance Attendant – Facilities to perform preventive maintenance and basic repairs on facilities and equipment. You will assist senior technicians and contribute to a safe, efficient transit-support environment.

The role requires at least two years in a related maintenance field, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to obtain a Florida driver’s license within 10 days of hire. This is a full-time union position under the standard contract.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, including lubrication, filter changes, painting and cleaning.
• Complete minor mechanical repairs and installations, including plumbing, drywall installation and patching, and frame carpentry.
• Replace belts, sprockets and chains; repair air hoses and irrigation systems; replace doorknobs and glass; and repair fences.
• Participate in scrap and trash hauling.
• Clean trench drains, oil separators and storage areas.
• Assist Facility Maintenance Technicians A and B with repair and troubleshooting work as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

HART is seeking a Maintenance Attendant – Facilities for skilled repair, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of equipment and structures. You will assist Facility Maintenance Technicians A and B and perform a variety of repairs that help keep HART facilities safe and functional.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Frequently walk, sit, stand and squat.
• Occasionally lift and carry supplies and equipment weighing 50 pounds or more.
• Use hearing, speaking, near and far visual acuity, depth perception and color vision throughout assigned duties. Visual acuity is necessary to perform all duties.
• Work in shop areas with occasional exposure to extreme noise at 85 decibels or higher.
• May be exposed to mechanical hazards, fumes, odors, paints and chemical hazards in shop areas.
• Work in all weather conditions.
