Job summary

New Vista of the Bluegrass Inc is seeking a Maintenance Associate in Somerset, KY to support our facilities operations. The role involves repairs to building components, floors, ceilings, doors, and windows, along with upkeep of the grounds and general maintenance tasks to ensure a safe, clean environment for residents and staff.

Candidate must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Make repairs to building, furniture, doors, windows, walls, floors, ceilings, roofs.

• Complete drywall installation and repair; painting; renovate structures and interiors.
• Repair flooring, tile, and carpet; schedule work to minimize disruption for residents.

The Maintenance Department functions in a collaborative relationship to provide a controlled environment for the individuals that live here and the staff that works here. This helps ensure continuous individual and organizational performance improvement in support of Oakwood’s facility mission. The Maintenance Department delivers 24 hours a day/ 7 day a week maintenance service that helps the promotion of optimal resident independence and quality of life in an efficient and cost-effective manner. The department supports the continuity of comprehensive, cost effective, quality person-centered services by ensuring a competent workforce and supporting strategies that enhance the quality of the work environment. All services are provided at the highest standard of professional practice, complying with standards by both federal and state regulations and facility policies.

Job duties include but are not limited to, making repairs to building, furniture, doors, windows, walls, floors, ceilings, roofs, assist in maintaining facility grounds, including mowing, weed eating, and picking up debris daily. Will complete drywall installation and repair in addition to painting duties, will renovate structures and interiors, will make repair to flooring, tile, and carpet, assist in other shops and perform other duties deemed necessary by supervisor, schedule work so that it least interferes with the individuals that live here. Be responsible for keeping all parts and tools in possession till work is completed and learn and follow policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:
