Job summary

Church of Saint Patrick in Sarasota, FL, seeks a Maintenance Associate to plan and manage maintenance for parish buildings and property. This full-time, hourly role reports to the Business Manager and requires hands-on upkeep, coordination of vendors, and availability for events.

Responsibilities include scheduling maintenance, performing repairs (electrical, plumbing, carpentry), overseeing contracts, setting up events, and responding to emergencies 24/7.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance experience required.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Self-motivated individual able to work independently.
• Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, staff, and parishioners.
• Working knowledge of building equipment.
• Understanding of safety protocols and disposal of hazardous waste items.
• Ability to life up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to climb, bend, kneel, stretch, reach continuously throughout day.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
• Must secure Aerial Lift Certification within 30-days of hire.
• Must pass a post offer DOV assigned physical exam.
