Job summary

St. Joseph School in Florida is seeking a Full-time Maintenance Associate to join the maintenance staff in caring for school and parish buildings and grounds. You will perform daily checks, general maintenance, event setup, and secure facilities.

The role requires 2–3 years of related experience, a High School diploma, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, basic carpentry, electrical, plumbing tasks, and a valid driver’s license. A background clearance and fingerprinting are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2–3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Ability to communicate clearly with vendors, staff and parishioners.
• Working knowledge of building equipment.
• Understanding of safety protocols and disposal of hazardous waste items.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily checks of the buildings and grounds to ensure trash/debris is picked up and area is presentable.
• General maintenance/carpentry of walls, doors, windows, carpet, tile, caulk, and paint.
• Set up for events and meetings.
• Secure all buildings on campus at the end of the day.
• Electrical: perform minor repairs such as outlets, switches, light bulbs, and fixtures.
• Air Conditioning: replace belts, filters and thermostats as needed.
• Plumbing: repair minor water leaks, replace faucets, open drains as needed.
• Custodial duties as needed throughout the day.
• Other duties as assigned.
