Our Saviour's Community Services (OSCS) is seeking a part-time Maintenance Associate to manage campus facilities, perform general upkeep, and support seasonal grounds work. The role is non-exempt, 15-20 hours weekly, with flexible scheduling Monday through Friday at set times.

Position Title:Maintenance Associate Our Saviour's Community Services (OSCS) provides dignified shelter and housing for single adults and basic education classes to adult English language learners in the Phillips Community of South Minneapolis. OSCS takes its name from Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, which founded our programs in the early 1980s. In 2004, we became alegallyand financially independent nonprofit. This Role:The Maintenance Associateis responsible forOSCS's campus facilities, including the general maintenance and repair of internal and external facilities. This position is non-exempt, part-time, and regularly scheduled for15-20hours per week. Schedules can beflexible, though regular hours will be expected Monday through Friday at set times. This is not an on-call position but if a maintenance emergencyarisesthe maintenance associate has theoptionto come in foradditionalhours. This role reports to the Property Manager. Position Responsibilities:
Follow all department and facility guidelines, policies, and procedures for work assignments and job duties and keep up to date with changes
Ensure weekly, monthly, and annual tasks are completed thoroughly and on time
Perform minor to medium residential houses and small building repairs and upkeep
Prepare facilities and grounds for each season andassistwith seasonal ground maintenance
Maintain facilities in clean and orderly condition
Tend to environmental systems andrequiredsafety upkeep (boiler, HVAC, forced air)
Worksindependently butcooperatively with the Caretaker Associate and Property Manager
Assistin moving furniture andequipment
Identifyand purchasehardware and other maintenance supplies as needed
Other duties asrequiredand as time allows
Required Skills and Abilities
Ability to follow instructions such as reading instructional manuals, follow safety and emergency procedures and verbal directions
Ability to work with a diversified team such as residents, supervisors,managersand vendors
Knowledge and skills related to general carpentry and repair
Knowledge and skills related to basic plumbing and household maintenance
Ability tolift upto 50 pounds
Ability to go up and down stairs
Work on your feet for extended periods, reach, bend, stoop, squat, crawl under tight spaces,anduse a full-size ladder
Be able to perform tasks that use repetitive motion such as shoveling, hammering, and sweeping
Ability to use hand and power tools skillfully and safely
Good timemanagement skills and ability to complete tasks on schedulewhile handling competing priorities
Adaptability and flexibility to work in a changing environment with frequent interruptions
Detail-oriented andcommunicateeffectively
Demonstrated cultural fluency and commitment to diversity
Ability toproblem solveandthink outside the box
Experience and Qualification Requirements:
Relevant experience or training in maintenance, repair, or groundskeeping is preferred.
Experience in building and facility maintenance
Experience in carpentry, plumbing, and minor electrical repairs
Certifications related to construction and building maintenance are preferred.
Strong communicationand teamwork; detail-oriented and observant
Good drivingrecord with a valid driver's license and ability to drive
Ability to rekey is a plus
Job Type:Part-time, non-exempt Pay Rate:$18-$21, hourly
