Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Maintenance Associate to uphold a clean, safe store environment and assist with basic repairs and upkeep of the store and surrounding areas. You will support cleaning, maintenance, safety, and store-wide upkeep while delivering friendly customer service.

The role also involves unloading trucks, stocking, and supporting cross-trained teams, reflecting Rural King’s People First, Integrity, and teamwork values. This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 30 pounds repetitively and 31–50 pounds intermittently.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Close vision required for computer-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain store floors, restrooms, breakrooms, fixtures and displays; operate a floor scrubber and restock supplies.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs, including changing light bulbs and addressing minor plumbing issues.
• Identify and report safety hazards and equipment malfunctions.
• Assist with unloading trucks, stocking, zoning, and other store activities as needed.
• Provide friendly, professional support to customers and associates; participate in cross-training and learning opportunities.
• Promote Rural King values and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the store and surrounding areas by cleaning floors, restrooms, breakrooms, fixtures, displays, parking lots, and exterior areas; operating a floor scrubber; emptying trash; and restocking supplies.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs, including changing light bulbs, addressing minor plumbing issues, and repairing damaged fixtures.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, and malfunctioning equipment.

Store Support

• Assist with unloading trucks, stocking, zoning, and other store activities as needed.
• Provide friendly and professional support to customers and associates.
• Participate in cross-training and required learning opportunities.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
