Job summary

Rural King in Chambersburg, PA seeks a Maintenance Associate to keep the store clean, safe, and well-organized. You will perform routine cleaning, basic repairs, and upkeep of the store and surrounding areas, including floors, fixtures, and parking lots.

You will also assist with unloading trucks, stocking, and cross-training while supporting a welcoming customer experience and Rural King values of People First and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 30 pounds repetitively and 31-50 pounds intermittently.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates.
• Close vision required for computer-related tasks.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Cleaning & Maintenance

• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the store and surrounding areas by cleaning floors, restrooms, breakrooms, fixtures, displays, parking lots, and exterior areas; operating a floor scrubber; emptying trash; and restocking supplies.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs, including changing light bulbs, addressing minor plumbing issues, and repairing damaged fixtures.
• Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, and malfunctioning equipment.

Store Support

• Assist with unloading trucks, stocking, zoning, and other store activities as needed.
• Provide friendly and professional support to customers and associates.
• Participate in cross-training and required learning opportunities.
• Demonstrate Rural King's values of People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
