Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Pay Range: $20.00 to $26.00

Location: Golden Ring, MD Branch

Job Details: Level: Entry; Location: Baltimore, MD 21237; Position Type: Full Time; Education Level: High School/ GED; Travel Percentage: Up to 50%; Job Shift: Day; Job Category: Facilities.

Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems for stability and quality
  • Maintain plumbing, heating, electrical, and other equipment
  • Conduct maintenance of electrical systems
  • Perform routine repairs for company equipment and facilities as instructed
  • Perform tasks such as parts replacement, cleaning, landscaping, etc.
  • Undertake pest control as needed
  • Perform building modifications as needed (constructing walls, laying floors, lighting and door installation/removal, painting, moving furniture, demolition, etc.)
Other Duties
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Occasional out of town work, requiring overnight stays
Equipment Used
  • Hand tools and common appliances
  • Misc. power equipment (scissor lift, boom lift, forklift, etc.)
Work Environment
  • Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperature
  • Subject to extreme temperatures (hot/cold)
Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and other systems
  • Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Current driver’s license
  • Must pass a DOT physical
Physical Demands
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
  • Comfortable squatting, twisting, bending, and kneeling while using tools and performing maintenance
  • Must be able to withstand frequent standing, bending, lifting, pulling, and climbing
  • Physical stamina to stay active throughout the workday
  • Must be able to safely climb and work from ladders and work at heights
  • May encounter extreme temperatures at job sites
