Job summary

Pleasant Acres Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in York, PA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant Technician for the 1st shift (6a–2:30p). You will perform routine maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to keep the campus safe and functional.

Under supervision of the Maintenance Director, you will troubleshoot issues, inspect facilities, and coordinate with other departments to minimize downtime. A valid driver's license and flexibility for overtime are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance work with schooling or tech certification.
• Overtime may be required (snow removal, disasters).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairing, replacing, and installing equipment, fixtures, and appliances.
• Under supervision, responsible for boiler room, electrical room, mechanical room and all mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify potential maintenance needs and address issues promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime.
• Operates Pleasant Acres motor vehicles.

Job Summary:

Maintenance Assistant Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: repairing, replacing, and installing equipment, fixtures, and appliances

• Under the direct supervision of the Maintenance Director or his assistant, the Maintenance Tech has responsibility for the boiler room, electrical room, mechanical room and all mechanical equipment.

• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and efficient manner

• Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify potential maintenance needs and address issues promptly

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and minimize downtime

• Operates Pleasant Acres motor vehicles

Maintenance Assistant Technician Requirements:

• Requires extensive and progressive experience in Maintenance work with appropriate schooling or tech certification, but not necessary.

• May be required to work overtime as assigned or requested (snow removal, disasters, etc.)

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
