Job summary

George E. Wahlen Ogden Veterans Home in Ogden, UT is seeking a dependable, organized Maintenance Assistant to join our team. This full-time day shift runs Tuesday through Saturday. The role involves routine rounds, minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and coordination with other departments, with safety and infection control practices to follow.

Placement within wage range is determined by experience; benefits include 401K, health/dental/vision, FSA, life insurance and disability coverage.

Qualifications

Must read, write and follow oral and written directions in English.
Able to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with others.
Related experience at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

Responsibilities

Make rounds, assess, and perform minor repairs; assist Maintenance Supervisor with larger repairs.
Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain facility logs (water temp, call lights, generator, fire alarms).
May assist in training new associates; may run the Maintenance Department in supervisor's absence.
