Full Time $18.00 - $20.00 Per Hour DOE / Saturday and Sunday - Weekend Shift - 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Maintenance Assistant

Generations Healthcare is in search of a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. Job Summary:

The primary role of the Maintenance Assistant is to maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by your supervisor, to assure that a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

Essential Duties (include but are not limited to):

  1. Ensure that maintenance schedules are followed as outlined for respective shift or area.
  2. Report all accidents/incidents to your supervisor no matter how minor they may be.
  3. Coordinate daily maintenance services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas.
  4. Other related duties as may become necessary or as directed by your supervisor, department director, and/or administrator.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  2. Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
  3. Must demonstrate tact and professionalism when interacting with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
  4. Must take proper care and use of supplies, equipment, and the upkeep of maintenance work areas.
  5. Work collaboratively with team members.
  6. Demonstrates the ability to minimize waste, ensure proper use of supplies, and maintain equipment.
  7. Ability to seek out and integrate new methods and principles into existing maintenance practices, in conjunction with facility leadership.
  8. Must be able to follow both written and oral instructions accurately.
  9. This position requires the successful completion of a background check, pre-employment physical, and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
