The City of San Bruno is seeking a part-time, temporary Maintenance Assistant to support the Parks Division. Under supervision, perform unskilled to semiskilled tasks in park and facility maintenance, including landscape care, equipment operation, and manual labor.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate ability to read/write directions, work outdoors in varying weather, handle tools safely, and pass a pre-employment physical and drug test. A California driver's license is required.

Under immediate supervision, part-time maintenance assistants perform a range of unskilled and semiskilled tasks in maintenance and landscape work for city parks and facilities and operates equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance, and replacement of City parks, street trees, street median landscaping, buildings and facilities.
Any combination of education, experience, and training that would provide the best qualified candidates. Applicants should have the ability to read, write and carry out oral and written directions. Applicants should also have the ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of proper use and care of common hand tools, skills performing manual work, and lifting heavy objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test.
