Traditions-Management in Avon, IN, is seeking a Maintenance Assistant who will perform hands-on upkeep of our building and grounds. You’ll fix small repairs, support preventative maintenance, and ensure safety for residents in their homes and common areas.

Role requires practical maintenance skills, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset. Flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends helps us keep the community running smoothly and safely.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or a related field (senior living or healthcare setting a plus).
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general repair skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude and respect for working in residents’ homes.
• Willingness to be flexible with scheduling, including occasional evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine maintenance of the community, including resident apartments, common areas, and grounds.
• Complete work orders for repairs in a timely and professional manner.
• Support preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and systems.
• Help maintain cleanliness and safety standards in mechanical, storage, and utility areas.
• Assist with community projects, furniture moves, and event setups as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and promptly report any hazards.
• Interact with residents and staff in a friendly, respectful manner
