Job summary

Taleo is seeking a Maintenance Technician to prepare apartments for new residents and support the Lead Maintenance Technician with additional duties across the property. The role covers upkeep of common areas, pool facilities, and exterior work, with on-site responsibilities and potential on-call shifts.

Key duties include completing repairs, handling resident maintenance requests, and ensuring safety and quality across the leasing office, clubhouse, and outdoor spaces.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months related experience, including light electrical and plumbing.
• Must be able to read, speak and understand English for business purposes.
• Available for on-call.
• Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation including criminal record search, employment verification, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Completing light maintenance repairs to prepare apartments for new residents.
• Completing maintenance requests on occupied apartments including plumbing repairs, major appliance repairs, carpentry, painting, and roof repairs.
• Performing maintenance in leasing office, clubhouse, laundry rooms, models, pool areas, and property fences.
• Maintaining pool and Jacuzzi areas including chemical checks, cleaning, and system repairs.
• Assessing extraordinary maintenance for the property (e.g., guttering, parking lot repairs, lighting, fences, carpet damage).
• Depositing ice-melt and shoveling snow during inclement weather.
• Ordering maintenance materials with approval of the Property Manager.
• Relaying or repairing carpeting.
• Assuming Lead Maintenance Technician responsibilities when necessary.
• Completing all tasks assigned by Property Manager or Property Supervisor.
