Job summary

Avir at Stephenville is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team. Assist with and perform general maintenance tasks under the direction of the Maintenance Director. This position involves grounds keeping, light repairs, and seasonal exterior maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have prior maintenance experience and ideally prior nursing home experience, with a focus on reliability and safety. On-site work in Stephenville, TX is expected, with comprehensive benefits provided.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience preferred.
• Previous nursing home experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks and demonstrate a high standard of performance.
• Cut lawn, trims, and edges. Cleans grounds and removes litter.
• Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Waters lawn, shrubs, and flowers.
• Make minor repairs to equipment. Complete interior maintenance such as painting, carpet cleaning, and wall repair.
• Shovel snow from walks and driveways. Spread salt on public passageways to prevent ice build-up.
