Department: Maintenance

Status: Full Time

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday

Starting Pay: $18.50 - $19.50 hourly

Summary

Assist Maintenance Manager in maintaining and repairing physical structures, equipment, building systems, and grounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support the Sales Department's marketing and rental efforts.
  • Perform painting, carpet shampooing, floor stripping and waxing, appliance and plumbing checks, minor repairs, etc.
  • Assist residents during move-in with furniture as directed.
  • Ensure resident comfort and satisfaction.
  • Handle resident requests and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Know resident names and be sensitive and compassionate.
  • Monitor residents' well-being and report changes.
  • Work as part of a team, follow the chain of command, and contain waste.
  • Maintain current First Aid Certification.
  • Report repairs and maintenance needs.
  • Maintain community areas and assist with move-in/move-out procedures.
  • Support safety and emergency procedures.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as dumpster checks, carpet cleaning, and general cleaning.
Qualifications

Education and Experience: 6 months to 1 year related experience or education. Experience with power tools, facility maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, or plumbing preferred. High School diploma or GED required.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Current First Aid Certification, DOJ and FBI fingerprint clearance, recent health screening, and TB test.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Must be able to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 100 pounds, standing, kneeling, climbing, and working outdoors. Visual and hearing acuity required. Work environment includes moderate noise, outdoor exposure, and potential pets.
