Job summary

Aventura at Walton Hills in Walton Hills, OH is seeking a part-time seasonal Maintenance Assistant to join our team. You will assist with light maintenance tasks in resident rooms and common areas, including drywall, painting, furnace repair, and basic plumbing, reporting to the Maintenance Director.

The role requires a high school diploma or technical training, at least two years in maintenance, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs (75 lbs with assistance).

Qualifications

• High school graduate or technical school preferred.
• 2 years of maintenance experience; healthcare setting preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs independently, 75 lbs with assistance; able to work in confined spaces and at heights.

Responsibilities

• Maintains resident rooms and common areas with drywall, painting, furnace repair and light plumbing.
• Reports to Maintenance Director and supports general maintenance tasks as needed.

Job Duties:

The Maintenance Assistant will report directly to the Maintenance Director and will be responsible for light maintenance duties including drywall, painting, furnace repair, light plumbing and general resident room maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school graduate or graduate of a technical school preferred, for performance of general maintenance duties.
• 2 years of experience in maintenance. Preference given for experience in healthcare organization, especially nursing home/retirement community.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50 lbs. independently, and over 75 lbs. with assistance.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
• Able to work at elevated heights.
• Walk, stand, and sit intermittently throughout the day.
• May work in heights and confined areas.
