Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Maintenance Assistant in Louisville, Kentucky. The role involves semi-skilled maintenance tasks across building, grounds, equipment and appliances, under the direction of the Maintenance Director.

Qualifications

• Two years experience in maintenance or related role.
• Knowledge of building maintenance practices and materials.
• Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions.
• Must be detail oriented and organized to complete tasks on time.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Maintain resident confidentiality at all times.
• Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate tools and machines used in maintenance/building trades.
• Order materials and assist with scheduling and phone communications.
• Make repairs to building, equipment, and appliances as directed by Maintenance Director.
• Disassemble/move furniture and maintain community grounds.
• Perform preventative maintenance and basic painting tasks.
• Transport residents as needed and assist with vehicle maintenance.
