West State Street is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a long-term care facility in Moses Lake, WA. This role supports the nursing center by performing cleaning, safety, and maintenance tasks to ensure a pleasant, safe environment for residents and staff.

The position includes minor repairs, HVAC filter changes, and stocking supplies. Flexibility to cover supervisor duties in their absence is required, with 20–40 hours per week based on census.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance Assistant performs a variety of cleaning, safety, and appearance tasks to keep the nursing center and grounds orderly.
• Make minor repairs to handrails, windows, flooring, walls, ceilings, beds, wheelchairs, geri-chairs, electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, generators, emergency lighting, fire alarms and extinguishers.
• Changes filters on HVAC equipment.
• Carries, lifts and stocks supplies.
• Assume Maintenance supervisor's responsibilities in the absence of the supervisor.
