  • Assist in managing the maintenance budget, ordering supplies, and maintaining inventory of materials and equipment.
  • Oversee the facility’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to building maintenance and safety standards.
  • Ensure the building, grounds, and equipment are maintained in a safe, clean, and efficient condition.
  • Assist in conducting safety drills and ensuring the facility is up to code regarding fire prevention and emergency systems.
  • Participate in the preparation of facilities for inspections and audits by regulatory bodies.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed, including after-hours coverage.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Nursing Home Administrator, department heads, and staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in preparing reports related to maintenance activities, repairs, and budget updates.

  • Strong knowledge of maintenance systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repairs.
  • Experience in managing or supervising a team, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic understanding of relevant safety, health, and regulatory standards in healthcare environments.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
