Guardian Management has a need for a Full-Time Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Discovery Point!

Discovery Point is a conventional apartment community in Mesa, AZ with 183 units.

We are seeking a motivated individual to support in cleaning and minor property maintenance to maintain curb appeal and overall property appearance. The primary role involves assisting with work orders, routine maintenance, and ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and Guardian policies. This entry-level position offers training and career growth opportunities in property maintenance.

Schedule: 40 hours/week, 3:00PM - 11:00PM

Compensation: $18.00/hr

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and product use
• Basic knowledge of building and grounds maintenance
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs
• Attention to detail and organizational skills
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
• Ability to complete training and attend sessions as required
• Basic computer literacy

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in janitorial, cleaning, or light maintenance
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working on ladders at heights up to 15 feet

Essential Functions:

• Represent Guardian professionally
• Support property maintenance and cleaning
• Walk grounds and common areas daily for cleanliness and curb appeal
• Respond to service requests and complete work orders timely
• Maintain neatness of model units, offices, and grounds
• Assist with apartment turnovers and emergency call-outs
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and residents
• Follow confidentiality guidelines
• Accurately record work hours
• Collaborate across departments
• Seek continuous improvement in work processes
• Perform other duties as assigned
