Job summary

Providence Rehabilitation and Healthcare at Mercy Fitzgerald in Delaware County, PA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant for a fast-paced healthcare environment. This is a full-time role with Daily Pay and an hourly rate of $20-$24, supporting safe, functional facilities for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will perform routine rounds, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC tasks, review work orders, and collaborate with teams to maintain a welcoming, compliant setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year general maintenance experience required (painting, plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, or related trades).
• Skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of safety procedures and maintenance best practices.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily physical rounds throughout the facility to identify and address maintenance needs and safety concerns.
• Perform minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and cosmetic repairs to facility systems and equipment.
• Review maintenance request logs regularly and complete work orders accurately and promptly.
• Collaborate with staff to support improvements in resident living spaces and overall facility environment.
• Assist with furniture moves, equipment repairs, and general maintenance projects as assigned.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently to support resident safety and comfort.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety standards, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.
