Job summary

Williamsport Health and Rehabilitation Center is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join our team. You will be responsible for upkeep of the facilities, equipment, and grounds to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff.

This full-time role requires a high school diploma, 1–2 years in facilities maintenance (healthcare setting preferred), ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and good communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of facilities maintenance experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks like painting, repairs, and replacing fixtures and equipment.
• Clean and disinfect facilities including bathrooms, patient rooms, and common areas.
• Assist with groundskeeping, lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal as needed.
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems including plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems.
• Collaborate with maintenance personnel to identify and prioritize tasks.
• Respond to maintenance requests from healthcare staff and patients.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations.
