Job summary

Harmony West Des Moines is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our facility in excellent condition for residents. This role is 15-20 hours per week with on-call duties every other weekend, contributing to a safe and comfortable environment.

You will perform repair work, monitor equipment, and coordinate with outside contractors for extensive repairs, while supporting routine maintenance and safety across the campus.

Qualifications

• Prior Maintenance Assistant experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.
• High school Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair tasks throughout the facility to keep it in proper working order.
• Monitor facility equipment and maintenance schedules.
• Assist with scheduling of outside contractors for extensive repairs.
• Perform routine maintenance on facility equipment and systems.

As a Maintenance Assistant you are instrumental in ensuring the physical aspects of the facility are in proper working order. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Harmony West Des Moines by performing repair tasks throughout the facility, assisting with scheduling of outside contractors for extensive repairs, monitoring facility equipment and facility system maintenance schedules, and performing routine maintenance on facility equipment and systems . Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a High school Diploma or equivalent. Prior Maintenance Assistant experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
