Harmony House Care Center in Waterloo, IA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to keep the facility in top condition and ensure resident safety. You will perform repairs, assist in coordinating contractor work, and monitor maintenance schedules to uphold the high standards of care our residents expect.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, with prior maintenance experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

As a Maintenance Assistant you are instrumental in ensuring the physical aspects of the facility are in proper working order. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Harmony House Care Center by performing repair tasks throughout the facility, assisting with scheduling of outside contractors for extensive repairs, monitoring facility equipment and facility system maintenance schedules, and performing routine maintenance on facility equipment and systems . Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a High school Diploma or equivalent. Prior Maintenance Assistant experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility setting is preferable.
