Job summary

Fair Oaks Lodge at Eden Senior Care in Minnesota seeks a Maintenance Assistant to ensure resident comfort and safety. You will perform plumbing, electrical, and HVAC tasks, plus painting and drywall repairs to maintain facilities.

The ideal candidate has maintenance experience, a valid driver’s license, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to plan and prioritize tasks in a skilled nursing environment. Day shift available.

Qualifications

• Experience as Maintenance Technician or similar role in healthcare facilities.
• Experience with painting, HVAC, basic plumbing and electrical tasks.
• Valid driver's license (preferred class D or CDL).
• Strong troubleshooting, time management and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, HVAC).
• Paint and drywall repairs to maintain facility appearance.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and systems.
• Assist in preventive maintenance planning to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with team members and departments.

Position: Maintenance Assistant

Work Schedule

• 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs.
• Conduct painting and drywall repairs as needed to maintain the appearance of our facilities.
• Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Assist in the planning and execution of preventative maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal functionality.
• Collaborate with other team members and departments to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repairs, and inventory levels.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician, with specific expertise in painting, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks.
• Experience with light plumbing, electrical, moving furniture, painting, etc. is required.
• A valid and active driver's license, preferably class D or CDL.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to effectively diagnose and repair maintenance issues.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• A commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
• Experience with minor plumbing, painting, fixing things, hanging things, minor electrical, lawn mowing, some minor snow removal, etc. is required.
