Job summary

American Senior Communities is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Supervisor in keeping the community’s physical plant and grounds well-maintained. This part-time role focuses on safety, cleanliness, and creating a welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will perform basic maintenance tasks, assist with repairs, and follow CARE values to ensure reliable operations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates CARE values to residents, family, customers and staff.
• Prior maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge in electrical, heating and cooling helpful.
• High school diploma or GED (or equivalent) required or 1–3 months related experience.

Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Assistant assists the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the community’s physical plant and grounds to ensure a safe, attractive and enjoyable living environment.
• Assist with routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs to support operations.
• Contribute to a team effort to deliver quality care for residents and staff.

The Maintenance Assistant assists the Maintenance Supervisor in maintaining the community’s physical plant and grounds ensuring a safe, attractive and enjoyable living environment for our residents, staff and the public.

Requirements

• Prior maintenance experience preferred.


• Knowledge in electrical, heating and cooling helpful.


• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
