Job summary

Genesee Lake School and Prader-Willi Homes are hiring a Maintenance Assistant to support building operations, grounds upkeep, and equipment maintenance across residential and school programs.

You will perform painting, basic plumbing and electrical tasks, and assist with larger maintenance projects while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for residents and staff. This full-time role requires flexibility for evenings or weekend calls as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum one year of maintenance or facilities experience required.
• Preferred experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, floor care, cleaning, boiler maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to and complete maintenance work orders as assigned by the Facilities Manager (e.g., painting, minor repairs, moving furniture).
• Perform routine building and equipment inspections and preventative maintenance.
• Handle minor plumbing and electrical repairs, such as unclogging toilets, replacing light fixtures, and troubleshooting systems.
• Assist with seasonal grounds care including mowing, snow removal, leaf collection, and general outdoor upkeep.
• Maintain clean and safe workspaces and alert Facilities Manager to any safety concerns.

In this essential role, you'll help ensure the safety, cleanliness, and functionality of our facilities while creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment for the individuals we support and our team members.# **Job Summary**We are looking for a dependable and skilled **Maintenance Assistant** to support building operations, grounds upkeep, and equipment maintenance at our residential and school programs.
