Maintenance Aide Part-Time Night Shift

About Us:

Our facility provides exceptional care in a compassionate setting, and we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Assistant to join our team and support the upkeep of our building and grounds.

Position Summary:
The Maintenance Assistant plays a key role in ensuring our facility operates smoothly and remains a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff. You will assist with routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections, working collaboratively with the Maintenance Director and other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.

  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address safety hazards and maintenance needs.

  • Assist with preventative maintenance programs to ensure equipment and systems operate efficiently.

  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of building grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and debris removal.

  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs.

  • Collaborate with external vendors and contractors as needed.

  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Previous experience in building maintenance, facilities management, or a related field preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general repair techniques.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
