Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Springfield, VA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep residents safe and comfortable by performing essential upkeep and repairs across the community.

You’ll handle routine tasks, preventive maintenance, safety checks, and small projects, while following OSHA and facility standards; the role includes driving the community vehicle as needed and collaborating with the team to maintain a positive environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned maintenance tasks and work orders
• Perform basic repairs (plumbing, electrical, appliances, fixtures)
• Assist with painting and refurbishing projects
• Support HVAC, water, and mechanical system maintenance
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks
• Maintain tools, equipment, and repair inventory
• Support carpet and floor care as needed
• Assist with suite make-ready preparation
• Follow OSHA, fire safety, and infection control standards
• Participate in emergency preparedness and fire drills
• Drive community vehicle as assigned
• You play a key role in safety, compliance, and day-to-day building operations

Pay Range: 18.65 - 23.45
