Description

The Hampton Inn by Hilton – 205 New World Way, South Plainfield, NJ 0708 is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our full‑time team. The shift is 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Flexible availability is needed.

Responsibilities

• Basic repair work, painting, wall covering, plumbing, electrical work.
• Pool operations and preventive maintenance for indoor and outdoor grounds.
• Maintain fixtures and equipment according to the preventive maintenance schedule and log as required by Buffalo Lodging and the hotel brand.
• Maintain and service pool and spa areas, including testing and recording as required by state and local regulations.
• Clean internal areas of buildings, sweeping, mopping, garbage removal, cleanliness of public and storage areas, and parking lot.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of mechanic experience in a hotel or related field.
• HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills.
• Ability to bend, kneel, lift, push, carry and pull up to 75 lbs.; reach overhead, climb, crouch, twist.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Shift Schedule

Typical shifts include any day of the week, including weekends. The schedule is based on business needs and normally runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday. Weekend and holiday availability is required.
