Job summary

Lakeshore Manor Nursing & Rehab in Slidell, LA is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Assistant to help keep the facility safe, comfortable, and running smoothly for residents and staff.

You’ll perform general maintenance and repairs, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting, maintain the building and grounds, respond to requests promptly, and assist with preventative maintenance and safety inspections.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, construction, or general repairs experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of building maintenance.
• Healthcare or skilled nursing experience a plus, but not required.

What You'll Do

No Two Days Are Exactly The Same! You'll Assist With a Variety Of Maintenance And Repair Needs Throughout The Facility, Including

• General maintenance and repairs


• Basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting


• Maintaining the building, equipment, and grounds


• Responding to maintenance requests and resolving issues in a timely manner


• Assisting with preventative maintenance and safety inspections


• Helping ensure a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who is dependable, hardworking, and enjoys working with their hands. Previous experience in maintenance, construction, or general repairs is preferred, along with basic knowledge of building maintenance.

Healthcare or skilled nursing experience is a plus, but not required. If you're mechanically inclined, have a strong work ethic, and take pride in your work, we'd love to hear from you!
