Supervisor’s Title: Director of Plant Operations
Position Summary
Supports plant operations via housekeeping/laundry assistance, minor room turns, furniture relocation, and maintenance of systems under supervision.
Essential Job Functions
- Perform cleaning and laundry tasks; assist with maintaining emergency power, fire/ life‑safety equipment, and inspection/drill reports.
- Respond to service requests; ensure equipment functions safely; comply with applicable regulations.
- Report malfunctions to Director; assist with parts inventory and computerized controls; support fleet maintenance; ensure OSHA workplace safety.

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience
- Three (3) years in maintenance in a similar facility preferred.
Knowledge/Skills
- Understanding of building systems; contractor oversight; training/qualification awareness.
- Comfort using Gardens Care’s approved systems is required: Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, Calendar, Meet), ECP (care management), Sagely (life enrichment/ activity documentation), and ADP (timekeeping, payroll, scheduling).
Special Requirements
- Working knowledge of refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and pumping systems; medical clearance.
Physical Activities
- Lift/carry up to 100 lbs. occasionally; push/pull up to 100 lbs.; climb/reach/bend/twist occasionally; sit ~1 hr; stand/walk ~7 hrs per 8‑hr day.
Visual Requirements
- Skilled trade tasks at arm’s length.
- Outdoor exposure to weather; noise/vibration; oils; PPE required.
