Job summary

Carlton Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to join our team in a full-time capacity in California. You will assist with repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of the building, equipment, and grounds, and support apartment turnover with painting and minor repairs.

You will also handle maintenance requests promptly and coordinate with other departments for events while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old per Title 22 requirements.
• At least six months of relevant education and/or hands-on experience required.
• Power tools or industrial cleaning equipment experience preferred.
• Background in facility maintenance, HVAC, carpentry, electrical, or plumbing strongly desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Maintenance Manager with repairs, upkeep, and preventative maintenance of the building, equipment, and grounds.
• Support apartment turnover by painting, cleaning carpets, and minor repairs to ensure units are move-in ready.
• Respond to maintenance requests and resident concerns promptly, professionally, and with safety focus.
• Perform routine tasks including trash management, safety checks, common area cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
• Collaborate with other departments for event setups, move-ins/outs, and marketing needs while upholding community standards.
• Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices.
• Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.

What we are hiring for:

Schedule: Full Time with open availability

Pay Range:

$20-$24/hour
