The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for maintaining the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards and regulations, to ensure a successful maintenance program is maintained at all times.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc.
• Performing routine maintenance and repair on facility equipment including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks.
• Maintaining facility in good repair, ensuring a safe, clean, and orderly environment.
• Monitoring and maintaining maintenance supplies.
• Following established fire safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of related maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Effective communication skills with residents, physicians, visitors, and staff.
• Basic computer skills; experience with electronic work orders is a plus.
