Job summary

Radiant Nursing & Rehab in Palatka, FL seeks a dependable Maintenance Assistant to support the Maintenance Director with daily upkeep of the building, grounds, and equipment, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff.

The ideal candidate has basic maintenance knowledge in plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, carpentry, and hands-on experience. Must be able to perform physical tasks and pass background screening; healthcare setting experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and equipment such as plumbing, electrical, painting, HVAC, carpentry.
• Willingness to learn, good organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in a nursing home or healthcare setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist Maintenance Director with day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of building, grounds, equipment and resident areas.
• Help ensure a safe, comfortable environment for residents and staff.
• Perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and climbing ladders as required.

Theidealcandidatewillhavebasicknowledgeandhands-onexperienceofmaintenanceproceduresandequipmenttoincludeplumbing,electrical,painting,HVAC,carpentryandroutinemaintenanceandbuildingsystemneeds.Mustbegoodatproblemsolving,andhaveawillingnesstolearn,workwellwithotherteammembersandhavegoodorganizationalandcommunicationskills.Experienceinanursinghome,healthcarefacility,hospital,orsimilarsettingisaplus.

Mustbeabletoperformthephysicalrequirementsoftheposition,includinglifting,bending,climbingladders,andworkingbothindoorsandoutdoors.

Mustmeetallapplicablebackgroundscreeningandemploymentrequirementsforaskillednursingfacility.
