Job summary

People Source OKC is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to perform essential preventative maintenance and repair duties for agency buildings and grounds. This role helps ensure facilities are safe, functional, and well-maintained.

The ideal candidate is dependable, hands‑on, and able to perform a wide range of maintenance tasks while working both independently and as part of a team. This position offers a Monday–Friday schedule in Oklahoma City with weekly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational training in building trades preferred.
• 3+ years maintenance or related experience (or equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Clean MVR (motor vehicle record) required.
• Ability to lift up to 85 lbs.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and confined spaces.
• Must be able to pass drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform carpentry and general building repairs (furniture, cabinets, partitions).
• Install doors, locks, and hardware with attention to quality.
• Maintain playground equipment, painting, and building weatherization.
• Perform landscaping duties including mowing, pruning, and material installation.
• Conduct weekly vehicle inspections and maintain safety documentation (SDS/MSDS).
• Estimate materials and assist with purchase order coordination.
• Travel to off-site locations as needed.
• Perform general preventative maintenance and repairs.
• Communicate effectively with staff and supervisors.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
