Job summary

Arcadia Care in Streator, IL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to plan and direct maintenance operations, develop schedules, oversee preventive maintenance, and ensure compliance with safety regulations to keep the facility safe and comfortable for residents.

You will repair facility and resident property, coordinate with other departments and outside vendors, supervise safety and fire protection programs, inspect work areas and equipment for upkeep and supply control, and assist with resident

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Previous maintenance experience required.

Position Summary:

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Assistant is to assist in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Maintenance Department to assure that our facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.

Essential Duties:

• Repair facility/resident property; coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments; inspect facility for upkeep and supply control; and coordinate with outside vendors.


• Supervise safety and fire protection and prevention programs; inspect work areas and equipment; and ensure that supplies, equipment, etc., are maintained and utilized to provide a safe and comfortable environment.


• Assist the facility with resident transports.

Qualifications:
