Job summary

Local Lumber Mill is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support the maintenance and millwright team in keeping industrial equipment safe and running efficiently. This role offers hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, and mechanical projects, set in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, tool safety, inventory, and reporting hazards; candidates should be dependable, able to lift up to 60 lbs, and comply with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Maintenance, automotive, or industrial experience preferred.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Basic metalworking or fabrication experience is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.

We are looking for a dependable Maintenance Assistant to support our maintenance and millwright team in keeping industrial equipment and facilities safe, reliable, and running efficiently.

• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Assist with welding, fabrication, and mechanical projects
