Job summary

Symphony of Linden is seeking a compassionate Maintenance Assistant to join our Maintenance team in Linden, MI. You will support the Maintenance Supervisor with building and grounds care, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and functional facilities for residents and staff.

The role requires at least 2 years of maintenance experience; healthcare setting is a plus. On-call availability every other weekend is expected, with a focus on safety and reliability in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Healthcare facility experience is advantageous but not required.
• Reliable and prompt.
• Ability to work on-call every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the facility to ensure the grounds, facility and equipment are maintained according to policies.
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment including plastering and mechanical work.
• Maintain the grounds, facility and equipment in a safe and efficient manner per standards.
• Maintenance Assistant assists in maintaining a clean, comfortable and safe environment.
• All-seasons maintenance required on the grounds as seasons change.

Job Summary:The Maintenance Assistant is responsible for taking direction from the Maintenance Supervisor in general maintenance and repair of the building and grounds. This position works directly with other members of the maintenance team to ensure the building is kept clean and free of hazards. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

• Inspect the facility on a regular basis to ensure the grounds, facility and equipment are maintained according to the facility policies and procedures
• Perform routine maintenance and repair on the facility and equipment to include plastering and mechanical repairs
• Maintain the grounds, facility, and equipment in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations.
• Maintenance Assistant assists in maintaining a clean, comfortable and safe environment.
• All-seasons maintenance required on the grounds - different outside duties will be required given the season of the year.

Employment Requirements:
