Job summary

The Grove Health & Rehab Center in Jacksonville, IL is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our facilities safe, clean, and comfortable for residents and staff.

You will perform routine building maintenance such as painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and minor electrical repairs, document maintenance work, and respond promptly to requests and emergencies. We offer competitive wages, benefits, daily pay options, PTO, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two or more years of maintenance or related experience are preferred.
• Motivated and dependable team player.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance including painting, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, and minor electrical repairs.
• Complete maintenance reports and other required documentation.
• Respond to maintenance requests and emergency repair calls promptly.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents and staff.
• Support additional maintenance duties as assigned.
