Job summary

Charlestown Place at New Albany is hiring a Maintenance Assistant to perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks in a skilled nursing community. The role pays $18-$20/hour and features a full-time schedule with a 8am–4:30pm shift, Monday through Friday, with weekends as needed.

You will respond to emergencies, support safety procedures, and help keep building systems like lighting and water running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance in a skilled nursing community
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and support facility safety procedures, including fire drills
• Ensure building systems remain operational, including lighting, water supply, and basic equipment needs
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and participate in surveys and inspections as needed
• Follow all safety regulations while working in a physically demanding environment with attention to detail
