Job summary

Heart Healthcare Management PA LLC is seeking a reliable Maintenance Assistant to keep our nursing home safe, functional, and comfortable for residents. You will perform general facility repairs, complete preventive maintenance, and prepare resident rooms.

Key responsibilities include basic plumbing/electrical work, room turnover, resident support, safety inspections, and grounds upkeep. A minimum of 1+ year maintenance experience is preferred, with ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of general building maintenance experience (healthcare/SNF preferred).
• Basic knowledge of tools, plumbing, electrical, and painting.
• Able to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs and climb ladders.
• Patient, compassionate, and respectful demeanor when interacting with senior residents.

Responsibilities

• General Repairs: Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and equipment fixes.
• Room Turnover: Prepare resident rooms for new admissions (patch, paint, inspect fixtures).
• Resident Support: Assist residents with hanging decor, setting up TVs, and moving furniture safely.
• Safety & Compliance: Help inspect fire safety systems, call bells, and emergency equipment in accordance with OSHA and Life Safety codes.
• Grounds & Upkeep: Maintain clear walkways, clear snow/ice, and keep maintenance areas safe and organized.
