Hanover Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hanover, PA is seeking a Maintenance Assistant. This full-time, on-site role maintains a safe, functional environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The position offers $20.00 per hour and uses your general maintenance and mechanical skills.

Responsibilities include repairs to walls, doors, ceilings, painting, drywall, plumbing, electrical, and coordinating with nursing staff. On-call one to twice monthly; valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• Prior general maintenance and mechanical experience required.
• Drilling, wall repair, and painting experience required.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Perform general facility maintenance, including repairs to walls, baseboards, doors, ceilings, mirrors, and windows.
• Perform painting tasks as needed.
• Complete drywall repair, patching, and replacement.
• Handle general mechanical and maintenance tasks throughout the facility.
• Move and arrange furniture as needed to complete assignments.
• Coordinate daily maintenance activities with nursing staff when working in resident care areas.
• Follow established maintenance schedules, policies, and supervisor instructions.
• Perform routine repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, plastering, and mechanical work.
• Replace light bulbs, including exit and overhead lighting.
• Assist with the Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure equipment and systems remain operational.
• Respond to unscheduled or emergency maintenance needs as required.

Pay: $20.00 per hour and up depending on experience

Position Details

• Full-Time Maintenance Position
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, On-Site
• On-Call: Once or twice per month (including weekends/holidays as needed)
• Valid Driver’s License Required

Key Responsibilities
